I bought these shorts back in 2006 from Neiman Marcus and I liked them so much I bought them in Olive green as well. They are extremely comfortable, versatile, and durable.  The fact that I’ve kept them in my closet this long speaks volumes!

Whoever said fashion blogs were stupid never heard of Tamu McPherson. In a recent feature with StyleLikeU.com she talks about how she transitioned from practicing law, to moving to Milan and learning the language within 5 months! She shares her fashion inspirations, influences, and her personal style which she describes as true New York style mixed with Milan elegance. She even talks about her love for kitten heels when she’s shooting street style. (She gets a pass LOL!) The most inspiring part of her story is how she started her blog -All The Pretty Birds as a creative outlet and now she is the Editor in Chief at Grazia in Milan. Videos like this inspire me more than words can describe!

Her post baby body looks AMAZING! There seemed to be some fashion controversy concerning her look. A few tweeters mentioned her Givenchy dress was too revealing for this event. I think the look was very risque but she wanted to show off her post baby body and for that I am NOT mad at her! GO BEY! She looked simply stunning! In a quick red carpet interview, she was asked her about her body. She responded:

I’m not even shamed to admit that a part of me wants the royal Blue and Black Jordan 4 “Cavs” that will be released next weekend. (Saturday, May 12th) I definitely don’t consider these Spring colors but I already have the perfect limited edition tank in mind exclusively designed to match the sneakers.

On the more practical side I did an immediate double take when I saw these posted on Facebook. I know I said Fakes are Never in Fashion but I might have to take a chance for these for these Isabel Marant knock offs inspired sneakers by Steve Madden. Reportedly these sneakers are $199 which is a fraction of the $800 price tag for the originals. They look almost exactly the same! $200 for Steve Madden sneakers is still pushing it in my book! If you’re here in DC the Georgetown store has them in two colors. (Black and White)  Not sold? Take another look at the shoes here.

Lastly, a funky twist to the classic Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers. These white spiked chucks are EVERYTHING! Immediately I thought to myself: DIY PROJECT! I must make these ASAP!!! I’m looking for the spike studs as I type!

Any sneakers on your radar this Spring?

I went on to read the rest of his interview and was pleased to find we had something in common…He’s also Team Nikon! He only uses one camera (Nikon D300s) and one lens (Nikon 17-55mm)  for all of his shoots unless specifically asked by the client. His response as to why he prefers Nikon made me immediately stop worrying about getting a better lens to improve my photography. He said:

To be honest I don’t buy too much into the major brands competition and I can care less about the new/fancy features coming out and all of that. I just need something good enough and reliable because at the end of the day it’s really not about that camera, it’s what can be done with it.

I spent quiet some time viewing his photo archives. He’s also on Facebook. His work is definitely worth checking out.

The Water St. Project Space is a temporary art gallery / creative space located on Water Street in Georgetown. It’s the latest creative concept by No Kings Collective showcasing original works of 15 featured artist. This project exhibition runs until April 29th.
