New Rooftop Lounge Opening At DC Wharf

Rooftop bar, nautical vibes, and waterfront cocktails is the only way to describe the brand new rooftop cocktail lounge Whiskey Charlie opening at the DC Wharf. This premium bar opens next week and here’s what you need to know!

Whiskey Charlie Wharf DC

Whiskey Charlie joins some of the best DC restaurants and shops that now call the Southwest Waterfront home. Last week Whiskey Charlie invited influencers, bloggers, and media to preview the menu before they open to the public.

The Wharf’s first rooftop bar and lounge sits on the tenth floor, atop of DC’s first Canopy by Hilton hotel. Whiskey Charlie offers a curated menu of craft cocktails and light bites, best-in-class service, and an inviting atmosphere. The clever finger foods pair well with the stiff drinks.

For all my dark liquor drinkers you cannot possibly ignore the Old Scalawag with Whiskey, Grand Marnier, Pimento and Orange Bitters. The name alone made me want to test it. My favorite drink of the night had to be the Port of Call made with Pineapple Rum. Not too sweet, yet strong enough that I know not to get more than two. The extensive cocktail menu with average DC priced drinks($13) make Whiskey Charlie the perfect pre-game spot before hitting the streets or a nice wine down, chill spot for after dinner cocktails. A major plus is that you can upsize any of the cocktails to be shareable for two or up to four with their tankards.

Port of Call

Whiskey Charlie looks to be extremely promising, especially during peak rooftop season. The penthouse view overlooking the water is absolutely stunning. Go ahead and add it to your list now. Get dressed for drinks with your girlfriends or impress your “bae” with a new date night spot. Whiskey Charlie stays open to midnight (even on Sundays) so be there when it opens on Friday, November 17th. Be sure to tell them I sent you!
