DC’s first interactive digital art gallery ARTECHOUSE just opened last month and it’s already all over your social media feed. This brand new innovative space is perfect for art and technology lovers. The first exhibit XYZT: Abstract Landscapes is a world travelled installation by internationally acclaimed French contemporary digital artists and multimedia choreographers Adrien M and Claire B. The interactive show offers an exploratory and sensory experience through ten digital landscapes.
Artechouse easily wins my award for: Must-SeeInstagram Hot Spot in DC for Summer 2017.
“Certain Art Cannot Be Described. It Must Be Seen And Experienced.”
I highly recommend evening admission. Being the last group for the night you don’t have to worry about running out of time. You can get completely lost in the exhibit and take advantage of the champagne bar (not included in admission). Don’t leave your iPhone in the car. This Instagram friendly exhibit encourages you to capture what you experience and share on social media as long as you don’t use a flash. Everyone will have a totally different experience but it proves to be the perfect back drop to snap some dope photos.
ARTECHOUSE is located at The Portals between Smithsonian and L’Enfant Plaza metro stations in Southwest at 1238 Maryland Ave., just next door to the Mandarin Oriental hotel. The XYZT exhibition is on view now through September 3rd with daytime (10am-4pm) and evening (5:30-10pm) admissions. Get your tickets now.
