I just returned from an amazing week long vacation in Tulum, Mexico. Known for its vibrant blue waters, spectacular coastline, balmy breezes and bright sun, Tulum was nothing short of perfect! This pre-summer getaway was exactly what I needed. Total relaxation, tranquility and seclusion, yet tons of things to explore. At the top of my list of things-to-do was to visit Pablo Escobar’s former estate turned eco chic, boutique hotel Casa Malca.
Inside Casa Malca is like a mini art gallery. The owner Malca is very selective with the pieces he houses on site. Especially considering the humidity and heat. The pieces rotate frequently so as a visitor you will be surprised. My favorites were the KAWS and Keith Haring prints in the bar area.

We ate lunch at the house restaurant Filosofia/Phi-los-ophy. They serve traditional Mexican dishes nurtured with local ingredients and an extensive bar with the best Mexican Tequilas and Mezcals.
If you visit Tulum make it a priority to explore Casa Malca. You will not be disappointed! I have more pics to share from my Mexico trip so check back later this week.
