For 50 years, the Ebony Fashion Fair shaped a new vision of Black America through contemporary fashion.
Currently on view at The George Washington University Textile Museum, forty garments selected from a collection of thousands are at the center of this dynamic show. This exhibition of stunning pieces tell the story of the traveling fashion show creator Eunice W. Johnson. She broke the color barrier and overcame racial prejudice to bring global fashion to Black communities.
