Another weekend, another bottomless brunch that you’ll wanna hear all about. I’m actually a few months late checking out Kingbird brunch inside the newly renovated Watergate Hotel.
Inspired by DC native Eastern Kingbird, this upscale hot spot focuses on ingredient-driven American cuisine with a French twist.
The modern decor makes you totally forget about the 1972 scandal that took place in the adjoining Watergate office complex. In case you skipped American History class or simply forgot, the Watergate Democratic National Committee headquarters burglary led to President Nixon’s resignation in ’74.
Get to brunch early so you can take full advantage of bottomless cocktails served from 11am-2:30pm. For $17 you can indulge in Mimosas, Strawberry Bellinis, or Sangria Blanca. All of the cocktails were great but the Sangria mixed with brandy and a splash of sparkling rosé was my favorite.
I ordered Chicken and waffles (shocking lol) but this dish was different. It was topped with an Asian inspired chili glaze, peanuts, lime, cilantro, & pickled vegetables. I demolished it!
Insert emoji heart eyes to this dramatic wall of illuminated whisky bottles.
Brunch reservations are recommended but not required. Kingbird is also open for lunch and dinner. Book your reservation now and tell them I sent you!
