Where should I go to get waxed? Surprisingly a question I get asked a lot. With so many spas here in the city it can be overwhelming trying to narrow down the perfect place for your lady bits. If you’re looking to wax it all off I have just the spot for you. Recently I was invited to experience a customized wax service at Cera Wax studio in Bethesda. In one visit this waxing only studio earned a spot on my list of the best places to get waxed in the DC area.
Prepare yourself for the longest elevator ride ever! If it weren’t for the sign I’d be convinced that I was absolutely stuck inside the elevator.
The experience that starts with a drink of your choice. Before entering the treatment room get super comfy and pick the perfect soundtrack to accompany your services.
Whether you’re a newbie or OG to the waxing world you will be pleased with your experience at Cera Wax Studio. Co-owner Monica was super sweet, gentle, and patient. Brazilian Waxing using hard wax is one of their specialities. They have a four step process for the best wax treatment for your skin type:
1. Pre-Wax Cleanse
2. Talc Free Powder or Pre-Wax Oil (treatment-based)
3. Wax Treatment
4. Post -Wax Serum
No wax experience can be completely pain-free but in my experience hard wax is noticeably less painful and not as harsh on my skin.
No beauty treatment is complete without goodies to take home. I absolutely loved everything my gift bag! Monica assured me I would fall in love with the The Grapeseed Company products and she was right. The sugar body scrub hydrates and cleanses thirsty skin while removing dead skin cells to leave your skin smooth. This sweet-smelling all natural scrub contains a nourishing blend of vitamins A, B & C which are great for evening skin tone.
Cera Wax Studio exceeded my expectations so I highly recommend them without reservation.
