Weekend brunch is a must no matter where I travel. During my last trip to LA we searched for a Saturday spot and settled on a small yet cute spot in Hollywood called The Hudson. With tons of reviews promising amazing food plus $3 mimosas and $12 carafes of beermosas we didn’t need much convincing.
Priced for the regulars but far from ordinary, the menu is a modern twist on homey fare with fresh, seasonal ingredients. For the thirsty, the bar is a well-prepared oasis with a vast selection of beers. When you walk in it definitely gives off neighborhood bar vibes plus there’s no way you can ignore the tree growing right through the middle of the restaurant.
After all of the New Year’s Eve/New Years Day festivities it was only right for me to order the Hangover Burger. That burger hit the spot! It was topped with fried egg, bacon, avocado, and charred jalapeño cheese sauce.
The next time that I’m in LA (which I’m hoping will be very soon) I’m definitely going back. I absolutely loved it! If you’re looking for a brunch spot I highly recommend The Hudson. For large groups remember to call ahead or make your reservations online. First timers be sure to tell them I sent you!
