Life is as grand as you make it has been the unofficial theme of my life here lately. I had no idea that this random yoga mat I picked up at TJ Maxx would be such a source of inspiration for me. I finally decided to get serious about working out. Since Popeye’s biscuits will forever hold a special place in my heart, coupled with the fact that I love carbs and sweets, I knew it was time for me to make smart, lifestyle changes. Working out has become one of my priorities. I love the way I feel afterwards and to be perfectly honest I want to make sure I look irresistibly good naked.
For the past month I’ve been taking full advantage of Class Pass. Recently launched here in DC, Class Pass is an alternative to a gym membership. With ClassPass you pay just $99 a month and you have unlimited fitness classes within the studio network at your disposal. Since I’m seeking to tone up I’ve been taking a variety of pilates, yoga, barre, and strength training classes. If it sounds amazing that’s because it really is! I get bored easily so the concept is genius. If you follow me on Insta then you already know Fusion Flow at Yoga Heights DC is one of my favorite classes! Co-owner Amy Rizzotto is amazing! Her signature class brings together the best of yoga, martial arts, and plyometrics for a high intensity, mixed movement interval workout. I’ve never sweated so hard in a yoga class in my life! I absolutely love it. For my friends not in DC ClassPass is available in Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and LA. I highly recommend it! Especially if you’re looking to start or switch up your fitness routine. Get yours now click HERE plus $50 for signing up!

Since I’m blogging about it I feel even more compelled to stick to my fitness goals. For the month of November I’m continuing with my yoga practice and incorporating boxing into the mix. I stumbled upon a Groupon deal too good to pass up- 5 classes for $24! You can’t beat that with a stick. For my fellow yogis there’s also an upcoming charity event that should not be missed. My friends at Grip The Mat are hosting Warriors For A Cause. A free yoga session followed by a social event to collect canned food donations for the Capital Area Food Bank. Space is limited so be sure to check out all the details over on the upcoming events calendar.
