June Ambrose is known for her signature red Ruby Woo lipstick. Ruby Woo has become the unofficial color behind the ImREDY Campaign. It looks good on everyone! On my quest to find another universally flattering, bold red lipstick I came across the most perfect red lip stain ever-Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red. I had to share this beauty discovery on Instagram this weekend. I’ve been using it for a little over a month now and this is my second tube. (I gave the first one to my aunt) Without drying your lips out, this light weight, matte finish lip stain actually lasts all day! Even after dinner and drinks Saturday night I had to use makeup remover to get it off! The best part about this long lasting lip stain is it won’t break your beauty budget. It’s only $12! Move over Ruby Woo, you’ve got some new competition. Always Red will definitely be in my beauty rotation! I highly recommend it for anyone looking to try a new red lipstick for the new year.
Check out how my beautiful cousin Rachelle rocks her red lipstick!

Growing up and even as recent as my last years of undergrad I felt like it was odd when women of color wore red lipstick. Like it was something that just didn’t go. Even though just a feeling it was substantiated by the fact that not many women of color wore red lipstick. I’m glad that isn’t the case today and with empowerment/awareness movements like #ImREDY those thoughts and trends will be a distant memory.
Many men (and women) feel just like you. Hence the reason for the campaign!
