Monday night I went to the DTLR BET Style Lounge for the BET Hip Hop Awards hosted by DJ Quicksilva with special guest, celebrity fashion stylist Olori Swank. I posted about her fashion styling workshop series: A Lesson in Swank awhile back and I’ve been following her work since then. She has an impressive portfolio of celebrity clients like Keyisha Cole, Dawn Richard, Teyana Taylor, Tyrese, and Childish Gambino among many others.

After we chatted I enjoyed the rest of the night with the Ciroc and Hennessey open bar, cutesy finger foods and appetizers, plus a preview of the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher. As a featured styling guest Olori gave a men’s Fall style preview with 3 looks she created.
The ladies at the BET Style Lounge also enjoyed complimentary manicures provided by the staff at one of my favorite spots in the DMV-Maisie Dunbar Spa Lounge while the fellas received massages and shape ups. Really what more could you ask for at a style lounge?! I captured a few snaps of DC style before heading home.
