Friday night I went to The Lip Bar Kiss & Tell DC launch party celebrating the 2012 lipstick collection. If you’re not familiar, in 2011 Detroit Native Melissa Butler created a company that would introduce women of all shades to experience a lip color that was not only bold in its shade, but also healthy in its intake. The Lip Bar has changed how women look at lip color. Especially for women that feared a bold, vibrant lip color. After I heard the back story of the Lip Bar it automatically reminded me of the ImREDY Campaign (not so shameless plug) which is the main reason I had to go support.
Another lipstick is the last thing I needed to buy but since I wanted to support the brand I knew I had to get lipbarwasted! After trying several swatches on my lips and the back of hand I debated which bold shade to try from the Fall 2012 collection. As much I as like bold lips I opted for something more practical. The perfect nude lipstick Baby Bellini which is handcrafted with a unique blend of natural ingredients such as vitamin E, shea butter and avocado oil along with a Bellini cocktail recipe that I want to try.
During the VIP cocktail hour guest enjoyed cupcakes and complimentary lip bar cocktails.
Party guest enjoying her makeover!
