Last week I was invited to join The Fab Empire in their 5 year anniversary celebration! If you haven’t heard The Fab Empire covers society, politics, celebrities and local events for young professionals in Baltimore, Boston, New York and DC. Party guests packed out Recess lounge to celebrate The Fab Empire promoting quality for the last 5 years!

Hosted by WPGC’s Big Tigger and music by DJ Heat, The Fab Empires invited only guests were in for a great night to celebrate 5 years of Fab!
Complimentary signature cocktails courtesy of CÎROC Vodka, Qream Liqueur and Coors Light.
VIP’s had an exclusive taste of Recess Lounge’s new tapas menu, curated by chef Will Vivas.
Pretty in all white, whats a DC event without DC’s #1 Promoter and Socialite Yodit of TalkofDC
In my usual Seventh District fashion I had to snap pics of DC’s finest however the venue quickly filled to capacity. There were so many missed photo ops but take a look at the pics.
WPGC personalities Big Tigger and Sunni getting cutesy
Editor-in-chief Joi Marie reminded the rowdy guest we may work, live, and party in DC but don’t forget I’m from Baltimore! Her and her supportive sorors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated do not play! That’s a “you had to be there moment” LOL
Nick Storm of CÎROC Vodka made a very special presentation honoring the late Gary Richards (the DC ambassador for CÎROC) who lost his life earlier this year. He presented his wife a check from fundraising efforts in his honor. I never had the chance to meet Gary but I can tell he was loved in DC. The Fab 5 Anniversary party was the perfect occasion to honor his wife. Very classy especially considering DC is jokingly called the District of CÎROC! Over a million cases sold!

Over 300 socialites, celebrities, politicos and taste makers came out to celebrate!
A sweet moment to end the night: The fab ladies surprised editor-in-chief Joi with a plaque of appreciation. Startled and stunned, stating she never gets surprises, Joi graciously accepted and returned the love favor to her assistant editors. You could feel the love and gratitude in the room. I think there were a few tear drops as well. Huge shout out to The Fab Empire for the fab gift bag filled with goodies! Click here to see what weighed the bag down!
