Now that Pretty in Paint is over I can get back to focusing on my own nails! Planning the polish party kept me busy with no time to share my weekly manicures. I’m excited to bring back The Nail Files and share my most recent nail polish splurge! I posted this pic of the latest polish added to my arsenal on Instagram. (7thdistrict). It’s Sephora by OPI Its Real 18K Gold Top Coat. This polish is a clear top coat embellished with real gold flakes!
I went for a bright raspberry color (Nahla Bahla) by Coco Rae that I picked up at the summer launch party. I hate to say this but this pic does nothing for this polish! It looks much better in person! I used two coats and the gold flecks are very noticeable without being distracting. It’s the perfect amount of sparkle to take your basic manicure to the next level. Since gold jewelry and accessories made such a strong comeback this Spring and Summer I predict that I’m going to keep the gold party going this Fall by jazzing up my phalanges with more gold top coated mani’s! I’m thinking black polish with gold flakes will be the perfect Fall contrast. You can create this easy gold mani with these 3 other polish options as well.
