As a self-proclaimed product junkie I absolutely love reading beauty blogs. I’ve been following Mischo Beauty for years now! (No exaggeration) so I was excited for the opportunity to finally meet her in real life. Over the weekend Kitiya hosted an Evening with EDEN: It’s a Summer Hair Affair to celebrate the launch of EDENBody Works new JojOba collection! As an invited guest, the evening started out with delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and a ended with an informative beauty panel featuring Shirley Gordon of Strands Hair Studios, Tia Williams of ShakeYourBeauty.com and Julia Coney of AllAboutThePretty.net. During the hair panel my eyes were drawn to the funky look of Shirley G of Strands Hair Studio. Her accessories were so unique! Hate I didn’t get a detailed shot. Apparently I’m super late with the news that Shirley is one of the best hair stylist and colorist in DC! Her along with the other beauty panelist shared some great summer hair and beauty tips.
7 Summer Hair & Beauty Tips
1. Protect your strands in the summer using hair sunscreen and deep condition weekly.
2. Avoid any hair products that contain mineral oil.
3. Relaxed or natural…Invest in a hair steamer your hair will thank you!
4.Try a hair product regimen for at least 3 weeks before you decide it doesn’t work.
5. City hair is not beach hair so moisturize and seal your hair with oil before hitting the beach!
6. Remember what you feed your body. Inner beauty determines outer beauty.
