A few years back when I first joined Twitter there used to be a weekly feature called #MusicMonday. I’d log on and see all types of tweets featuring new (and some old) music from my followers. It was the easy way for me to discover new music. I haven’t seen a Music Monday tweet scroll across my timeline in ages but this morning I decided to check out music from Jhené Aiko after Q suggested it this weekend while I was in New York. After a few listens I thought to myself: Where have I been?! Why am I just now hearing her! I know I’m incredibly late discovering her music but I absolutely love her voice and the sound of her music!

I remember her back in the 90′s with a group called Gyrl. They use to sing with Immature back in the day, lol! I’ve always liked her voice.
I just thought about it, maybe that was her sister in the group.
